This incredible wedding was shot at Allington Castle in Kent last year. Antonella & David treated their guests to this amazing venue which is often used as a filming location for period drama's due to its 17th-century barn & many outbuildings. The main castle where they held their Wedding ceremony & breakfast is from the 12th-century in which Henry VIII & Anne Boleyn dined with Sir Thomas Wyatt in around 1530.
Its always such a treat to be able to visit such wonderful venue's and I would definitely reccomend Allington Castle to anyone wanting something abit 'extra special' for their big day. We were even treated to a family of swans who resided on the moat and were not shy about coming forward either.
The love and happiness on the day was the most important aspect though. These two had such a special connection and I got to know them like close friends too. Antonella had such a large incredible room for her bridal preparations. It makes such a difference to have not only a large space to work in but also one FULL of unbelievable antiques to use for props etc.
The other extra special thing that happened was that they decided to have a '1st Reveal'. Not many couples choose to do this but when it happens I'm always filled with excitement for them both. Its such a special intimate moment and makes for some beautiful treasured photographs too! OK so it breaks tradition but consider it maybe if your having a winter wedding where it gets dark really early. After your initial meet up you can squeeze in a short 'couples portrait' photo session before your ceremony. That way you'll still have some daylight shots even if your getting married in late December.
I think I would most definitely like to work here again... any takers?
