One of my favourite Weddings last year was for Ema and Ferg. They got married at Hawthbush Farm in Gun Hill, East Sussex. There's two major reasons why this goes down as one of my fav's from 2017... Obviously the first is because of the people. This is of course what makes a wedding so special, the happiness and the love that the couple share and the way the guests react and get stuck in to having the best day ever is a vital part of the day! Secondly is because of the venue. I love Hawthbush Farm, its natural simplicity gives a perfect background for adding your own mark whilst still having a super trendy festival vibe. Here's a little questionnaire from Ema to celebrate some of the awesome suppliers who helped make their day so amazing... x
Your Rings? - Both sets of rings are vintage and were brought in the antique shops in The Lanes, Brighton.
Your amazing flowers? - The incredible Areta Richards, professional florist based in Lewes - my best friends and the best florist ever!
Cake - She won't let me name her fully but a family friend who is very dear to us. Her and her friend created it for us, Jackie and Anne.
The Band were 'Season' from Brighton, they played the evening part of the Wedding. 'The McKeefry Band' which started the night consisted of Fergus's family. He has grown up with music in his family and all the siblings play music and were brought up playing instruments together.
The Beer - The welcome drinks were brewed by Matt who was the best man for the day too. He brewed the beer under the name DOTMATRIX and named the beer McExAle (Pale Ale). We also had our own # which was #mcexcell. The rest of the beer was created from the Gun Hill Brewery.
The Toast Champagne was brought from the fantastic Brighton Independent Wine Retailer, Butlers Wine Cellar, which is based in Kemp Town in Brighton.
